 Causes of dengue

Friends, the main causes of dengue fever are as follows---

1. Dengue virus

 The main cause of dengue fever is the dengue virus. There are 4 types of it - DE-1, DE-2,DE-3, DE-4. These viruses spread through mosquito bites.

2. Dengue mosquitoes (Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus)

These mosquitoes spread the dengue virus. These mosquitoes usually bite during the day and the virus enters the body through their bite.

3. Waterlogging

Dengue mosquitoes need clean and positive water to breed. Stagnant water in homes, containers and other places becomes their breeding ground.


4. Weather changes

 Mosquitoes breed more in the summer and rainy seasons, which also increases the cases of dengue.

5. Travel history

People travelling from a dengue-affected area may also be at risk of infection.

By controlling these factors the spread of dengue can be prevented.

Symptoms of dengue fever Symptoms of dengue fever

The main symptoms of dengue fever are---

1. High fever (39-40°C)

Dengue fever causes high fever that lasts for 2-7 days.

2. Body pain

Widespread body pain, headache, backache and joint pain are felt.

3. Skin rashes

Small red rashes appear on the body, which gradually grow.

4. Fatigue

The person feels extreme fatigue and weakness.

5. Pain in the eyes

The eyes become red and itchy.

6. Dizziness

Dizziness may occur at times.

7. Nausea and vomiting

Nausea and vomiting may also occur in some cases.

8. Blood deficiency

In some cases there is a decrease in platelets in the blood which may lead to bleeding.

It is very important to detect these symptoms on time and treat dengue.

Prevention of Dengue Fever

Some important measures to prevent dengue fever are----

1. Mosquito control

Preventing the breeding of mosquitoes is most important. Keep water-logging areas in the house clean and use mosquito repellent.

Wearing protective clothing

Cover your body by wearing long-sleeved clothes, pants and shoes to avoid mosquito bites.

3. Use of repellents

Use mosquito repellent cream or spray. This can protect you from mosquitoes.

4. Use of mosquito net

It is very important to use mosquito net especially while sleeping at night.

5. Cleaning the house and surroundings

Remove any stagnant water around the house so that mosquitoes cannot breed.

6. Vaccination

 Vaccine is available to prevent dengue. Stay away from dengue infected person and consult a doctor.

7. Take care of hygiene

It is important to maintain personal hygiene and cleanliness.


Dengue fever can be avoided by following these measures.

Yoga Therapy

Treatment of dengue fever by yoga----

Yoga is a natural and scientific method that can help reduce the symptoms of dengue. However, this does not mean that yoga is the only treatment for dengue fever. For the treatment of dengue, medical care and use of proper medicines are also necessary. The use of yoga can complement other medical treatments and help make the body healthy and strong. Some yoga procedures that can help reduce the symptoms of dengue are----

1. Pranayama (breathing exercises)

2. Meditation and self-awareness

3. Light exercises and stretches

4. Light abdominal exercises

5. Slow and calm body postures

However, it is important to take yoga along with any medical care to treat dengue.

Natural Therapy

There are some effective remedies for the treatment of dengue in naturopathy, which can be adopted jointly----

1. Herbal remedies

 Consuming herbal medicines like basil, ginger, turmeric, neem.

Taking them separately or in combination helps the body fight dengue.

2. Drink water and fluids

In dengue, excessive amount of water is released from the body.

Therefore, one should consume adequate quantities of water, soup, fruit juice etc.

3. Rest and adequate sleep

The body needs rest in dengue.
