Some people call it a deity, however, the Sun has an important role in the origin of the Earth and the development of life. Even symbolically, the Sun God is shown with seven horses riding a chariot. The reason is that the Sun's rays have seven colors. It is on the basis of these seven colors that energy from the Sun comes to the Earth. This energy is equally distributed among all living beings, conscious and unconscious. Due to which this entire universe keeps running. Now let's talk about Surya Chikitsa. If we see, before starting Surya Chikitsa, we should know what are the healing properties of the Sun's rays. Let's see--

Seven colours are found in the sunrays. But there are mainly three colours. Other colours are formed with the help of these three. They are as follows____


Orange 

Red + Yellow. 


Green

 Yellow + Blue.


Violet 

Blue + Red.


 Sky Blue

Blue + White.


The main colours are red, blue and yellow. Other colours are formed with their help. Water, oil, sugar, mishri etc. prepared with these colours are used in various diseases. For this, coloured glass bottles are kept in the sun for 6 to 8 hours. Water gets charged in 6 to 8 hours and can be used for 3 days. But oil takes 15 to 20 days to get charged.  Sun charged water is given in the quantity of 10 to 20 grams according to age and condition and the diseased body is massaged with sun charged oil. Let us see how sun therapy works in naturopathy.


Precautions in Sun bath therapy

1. Wear protective clothing


Cover your skin by wearing long sleeves, long pants, and broad-brimmed hats.


2. Keep an eye on the reflections


 Reflections from water, sand, or snow can intensify the sun's rays; be extra cautious when sunbathing near water or reflecting surfaces.

3. Stay hydrated


 Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.


4. Watch for signs of heat exhaustion

 

Symptoms such as heavy sweating, dizziness, weakness, and headaches may indicate excessive sun exposure. Seek shade or move to a cooler area if you experience these symptoms.


5. Be aware of your skin type


Fair-skinned individuals are more susceptible to sunburn and skin damage. Use extra caution and follow the precautions mentioned above, especially on sunny days.


By following these precautions, you can enjoy sunbath therapy safely and enjoy the potential health benefits while minimizing the risks.


Sun therapy in naturopathy


Sun therapy is used in many ways in naturopathy centers. Different types of sun charged water are used, different types of oils are charged in sunlight and used for massage. Sun bath is done by removing all the clothes from the body in direct sunlight and taking sun bath in mild sunlight. Along with this, sunlight is taken by lying in different types of colored glass boxes. Different types of colors have an effect on the body.


Sunbath benefits


Sun bath is used to infuse energy in the body, the body gets rejuvenated, internal weakness is removed, fever is also removed by sweating from the body.


Sunbath benefits  After sunbathing, one takes a bath with cold water and wipes the body with a towel. This opens up the pores of the body and the waste material inside comes out. This makes the person feel light and the body feels fresh.

Sunbath side effects

      

Sunbath should not be done in very strong sunlight. Doing so increases the heat inside the body. Due to which there can be problems like dysentery, stomachache, skin disease, headache, skin burning, darkening etc. Excessive sweating can reduce blood pressure. Therefore, caution is extremely necessary.


Types of sunbath


1- Ordinary sunbath


To do this, spread a mat on the ground and sit or lie down. One should stay in the sun for at least half an hour to 1 hour, then the right benefit is obtained. It should be done continuously for a few days, sweat comes out from the body. Dirt is removed. Life force is transmitted. Many types of germs are destroyed.


2- Sunbath by wrapping a wet sheet


The entire body of the patient is wrapped in a wet cotton sheet and made to lie down in the sun. A cold water bandage is placed on the head.  Let them lie down like this for 20 to 40 minutes. Then a lot of sweat comes out from the body. Which is very beneficial for blood pressure patients and fever patients.


          3-: Sunbath under the cover of green leaves


     This bath should be taken in the morning after some time of sunrise and in the evening before sunset. Sit facing the Sun, keep a piece of green banana leaf on the eyes and keep staring at the Sun from between the pieces for 5 to 7 minutes. After this, remove the leaves and sit facing the Sun for about 15 minutes. After that, come in the shade and cover the eyes with the palms of both hands and give them rest for some time.

          

   Sun bath timing

     

When sunbathing is done for sun therapy, it should be done in mild sunlight in the morning or evening. At this time, the beneficial sun rays are very beneficial for the body and do not cause any harm. Along with this, there is no fixed time for sunbathing, it varies according to the season.


In winter season, according to India, from 12 noon to 2 pm.


In summer season, from 8:00 to 10:00 in the morning and from 3:00 to 5:00 in the evening.

Color therapy for different disease

          

Friends, what are the substances found in sunrays which are very useful for medical treatment and fulfill the need of various elements in the body. After studying, scientists found that there are many types of chemical substances found in every color, which reach the body in a natural form and the body absorbs the elements which are lacking.


Chlorophyll is found in different types of trees and plants, in the presence of which trees and plants make their food through sunrays. Which happens only because of these chemical substances. Let us see what are the chemical substances found in different colors.


Purple color 

 Hydrogen, Calcium, Aluminum.


Yellow color 

Nitrogen, Carbon, Oxygen, Barium, Calcium, Cobalt, Cadmium, Titanium, Aluminum, Chromium, Iron, Nickel, Copper, Zinc.


 Red colour 

Rubidium, Cadmium, Strontium, Zinc, Barium, Oxygen, Nitrogen.


    Orange colour 

 Titanium, Aluminium, Rubidium, Cobalt, Zinc, Nickel, Iron, Calcium, Oxygen.


    Green colour 

 Oxygen, Nitrogen, Carbon, Sodium, Calcium, Barium, Chromium, Nickel, Copper, Aluminium, Titanium, Cobalt, Magnesium.


    Due to these chemicals, Sun therapy is very important which supplies elements to the body in a natural way.


    Color therapy for              fever

    

When a person has fever, his temperature increases which means that the heat in the body has increased. Therefore, to cool down the heat, water in a green coloured bottle is used. It can be used four to five times a day. With the water in the green coloured bottle, fever is not only cooled down but headache and high blood pressure also become normal. The weakness of the muscles of the body also goes away and the nervous system of the body becomes strong.

     Color therapy for         constipation

     If obese people suffer from constipation then orange coloured water should be given and if a weak thin person suffers from constipation then blue coloured water should be given. It should be taken four to five times a day. Along with this, one should leave the lazy lifestyle and do some exercise or yoga asanas etc. In the diet, along with chapatti made of bran flour, the quantity of fruits and vegetables should be increased.
